WE are in receipt of your communication of the 1st instant covering copy of a despatch dated the 25th May from His Majesty's Minister at Peking, and also a translation of a note from the Wai-wu Pu, respecting unauthorized advances to Mongol Princes or to Chinese authorities in Mongolia.

We are not aware of any such advances having been made by this Bank, but we take due note of the directions and are forwarding copies of the inclosures received with your letter to our head office at Hong Kong.
